CSF Leadership
Executive Director: Jonathan Weiler

Hello,
My name is Jonathan Weiler. I am the founder and Executive Director of Command and Signal Foundation (CSF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built for direct-action Combat Veterans living with Combat-Related Post-Trauma Syndrome (CRPTS). CSF exists to help Veterans rebuild function through disciplined storytelling, illustration, and a protected cohort community.
CSF provides a selective, peer-led reconstruction pipeline. That means structure, tools, and accountability designed to help Combat Veterans regain stability, purpose, and participation in life on their terms. I built this pathway because it was what I needed in my own life.
I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003–2004) with the 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment during the invasion of Iraq. I was a sniper team leader for my battalion, one of three .50-caliber sniper teams. I saw incredible acts of heroism, shocking cruelty, rare selflessness under extreme pressure, and the bond that only forms in combat zones. The deployment ended a long time ago. The effects did not.
More than two decades later, the struggle is not a story about “bad days.” It is the persistence of a combat-ready operating state, and how, over time, the body can begin to work against the person living inside it.
Many people ask how CRPTS relates to PTSD. CRPTS uses symptom language that can overlap with PTSD, because the surface-level outputs often look similar. The difference is not the claim of “new symptoms.” The difference lies in CRPTS's focus and its impact on the Combat Veteran’s overall quality of life.
PTSD is a clinical diagnosis used for care and support systems. CRPTS is a peer-developed field framework designed for a specific profile of direct-action combat conditioning and the long-term persistence of survival mode beyond deployment. CRPTS focuses on the body’s operating-state persistence, identity disruption, and the gradual narrowing of participation in life. The problem is not only what happened. It is what has continued ever since.
That is why CSF exists. It offers a disciplined reconstruction pipeline for Combat Veterans who recognize that pattern and are ready to work against it without motivational noise, clinical theater, or false promises.
What CSF provides:
- A structured understanding of CRPTS through a practical field model (State/Self/Society)
- A disciplined creative method that converts stress into structure through storytelling and illustration
- A cohort culture built for accountability, respect, and confidentiality
- Equipment and course materials for accepted participants to remove friction and support consistency
What CSF does not provide:
- Diagnosis or mental health treatment
- Crisis intervention, suicide counseling, or substance-use treatment
- Guarantees of outcomes, symptom elimination, or publishing results
LRRP(S): The CSF Reconstruction Program
LRRP(S) (Learn, Reflect, Rebuild, Publish, Share) is a selective, cohort-based online program built specifically for the CRPTS profile. The introductory cycle is 12 weeks with a minimum time commitment of 2–3 hours per week. Cohorts are limited in size, and participation is required. A strict code of conduct is enforced to ensure the community functions effectively.
Eligibility is limited to direct-action Combat Veterans who are 100% service-connected overall, with documentation showing a PTSD rating of 80% or higher, and who are ready for long-haul rebuilding, not casual participation. Applicants must provide a VA Benefit Summary and Service Verification Letter, along with supporting documentation for the PTSD rating.

If this feels familiar, please know this: The fight is real, and it has not been easy. I have created tools to make the workload more manageable, but you will still need to put in the time. If this sounds like something you could benefit from, and you are ready for this journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
And always remember: You are not alone, and I am happy that you are here.
Very respectfully,
Jonathan Weiler

CRPTS Framework Disclaimer:
CRPTS, or Combat-Related Post Trauma Syndrome, is a peer-developed field framework created to describe a common operating-state pattern observed in some direct-action Combat Veterans, including its effects on physiology, identity, relationships, and daily functioning.
CRPTS does not replace clinical diagnosis. PTSD remains an important recognized diagnosis for identifying trauma-related symptoms and establishing clinical care.
CSF does not provide medical or mental health diagnosis, therapy, or crisis treatment. LRRP(S) is a peer-led educational and community pipeline centered on disciplined creative practice, structured self-observation, and long-term reorganization.
