FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Command and Signal Foundation Launches a Selective 12-Week Comic Book Creation Cohort for Direct-Action Combat Veterans
New 501(c)(3) nonprofit delivers a disciplined creative learning pipeline and protected peer community built around a physiological framework called CRPTS.
Cullman, AL — February 11, 2026 — Command and Signal Foundation (CSF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, announced the launch of its flagship LRRP(S) Program—Learn, Reflect, Rebuild, Publish, Share—a selective 12-week online cohort built for direct-action Combat Veterans seeking a structured way to rebuild function through disciplined storytelling, illustration, and a protected peer community.
LRRP(S) teaches the full comic creation process, from story development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, drawing, inking, coloring, and final publishing assembly, through a step-by-step learning pipeline. Participants progress through the program within a dedicated cohort and an online community portal designed to support accountability, respect, and confidentiality. Each participant completes the cycle with a finished short comic, demonstrating both creative progress and disciplined follow-through.
Command and Signal Foundation is grounded in a physiological framework known as Combat-Related Post-Trauma Syndrome (CRPTS). CRPTS describes how sustained, direct-action combat conditions the nervous system to remain in a combat-ready state long after deployment ends.
Over time, the state of constant readiness compounds into physical and emotional depletion, negatively affecting every aspect of the Combat Veteran’s life. Command and Signal Foundation exists to help the direct-action Combat Veteran identify the physiological Signals and regain Command through disciplined, creative work, structured understanding, and a peer-built community.
“CRPTS articulates what many direct-action Combat Veterans live with for years after they come home,” said Jonathan Weiler, Founder and Executive Director of Command and Signal Foundation. “LRRP(S) provides the structure through disciplined creative work, built for Combat Veterans who are ready to commit to the process inside a protected peer community.”
CSF provides peer-led education and community support. It is neither clinical therapy nor crisis care. Veterans in immediate danger should call 911 or contact the Veterans Crisis Line (dial 988, then Press 1, or text 838255).
